AWT BAR SOUND INSTALLATION: KOSHIRO HINO
SOUND INSTALLATION FOR ICHIO MATSUZAWA’S SPACE
The AWT Bar is a multisensory art space that brings together different sectors of Tokyo’s cultural scene. As part of the AWT Bar program, the sound artist Koshiro Hino, known for his work on the solo project YPY and as the leader of the rhythm ensemble goat, has produced a new sound installation in response to architect Ichio Matsuzawa’s design for the bar, which is conceived as a constantly transforming environment that emerges through individual perceptions. Hino has developed new, rotating super directional speakers for the installation. Based on the motion of the speakers, the reflected sounds constantly shift position as they resonate through the space, creating an immersive soundscape that changes at every moment. The installation can be experienced throughout the day at AWT Bar.
