AWT BAR PERFORMANCE: MARIKO KAKIZAKI AND LIEL FIBAK

DANCE FOR ICHIO MATSUZAWA’S SPACE

The AWT Bar is a multisensory art space that brings together different sectors of Tokyo’s cultural scene. Held three times a day at the AWT Bar on November 8 and 9, this performance event is a collaboration between two internationally accomplished dancers, Mariko Kakizaki and Liel Fibak, and the sound artist Koshiro Hino, known for his work on the solo project YPY and as the leader of the rhythm ensemble goat. The dancers will develop improvisational movements in response to architect Ichio Matsuzawa’s design for the bar, which is conceived as a constantly transforming environment, as well as Hino’s soundscape and the environmental conditions in that moment.
