Artist duo MES is curating and directing Art Week Tokyo’s opening night party at Shibuya Parco’s 10th-floor PBox Stnd venue. Operating at the intersection of club culture and contemporary art, MES has developed a multimedia practice that radically reimagines existing ideas and systems through experimentation with language, performance, and technology. The duo will draw on experience working across every facet of nightlife—staging, performing, and organizing—to gather a lineup of DJs, VJs, and performers for the latest in their ongoing series of Revolic—Revolution Holic parties. Work by MES exploring the history and transformation of Shibuya is on view concurrently in a solo exhibition at Parco Museum Tokyo on the building’s 4th floor.
