Calvin Miceli-Nelson and Shogo Shimizu
November 4 – December 19
4649 is pleased to present a two-person exhibition by Los Angeles–based painter Calvin Miceli-Nelson and Tokyo-based artist and 4649 director Shogo Shimizu from November 4 to December 19, 2021. Both artists were born in 1993 and their self-help exchanges on the internet led to this exhibition, which will feature Miceli-Nelson’s consistent monotone paintings and Shimizu’s figurative sculptures based on furniture motifs. This will be Miceli-Nelson’s first exhibition in Japan.
