Aoyama Meguro was founded by Hideki Aoyama in 2007 and currently represents a range of artists: Many are mid-career Japanese artists, while others are emerging or established, international voices. The program’s focus is on interdisciplinary, concept-oriented, and space-based approaches in a variety of media, including sculpture, video, sound, painting, photography, and performances based on behavior and action.

Aoyama Meguro is located in Happa, a shared office space on Komazawa Avenue. During Art Week Tokyo 2021, Aoyama Meguro will open the gallery and its meeting areas to present an integrated installation of works by four members of Happa: DDAA / Daisuke Motoki (architectural design), sakumotto (event and shop planning), Shuta Hasunuma (musician and artist), and Aoyama Meguro.
